Good with kids

Pebbles is a 3 year old Yorkie-Poo. She has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. She will require regular grooming. She weighs about 10lbs. She is a very sweet, loving dog. She is won over by salami. Bring salami if you want her to like you. But she will be nervous when she meets strangers. The first time we met her, her little body just shook and shook. Salami helped. But more importantly being confident as a dog owner made the biggest difference.

Pebbles gets along with other dogs. She currently lives with dogs who are big and small. She isn't really phased by dogs. She is an option to join another dog in her new home. She could also be someone's one and only. What is more important is having a patient home that doesn't have high expectations that she is going to run and jump into someone's arms and declare her undying love. She's shy at first. Whether she will ever be the dog who enjoys going out and meeting folks, is really up in the air. If that's a must for a home, then she may not be the right option. If her new home is open to training with her and deciphering dog behavior to determine if going out and about in public is an enjoyable time for her.

Pebbles is only an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years (owned personally not a parent's or roommates dog and not petsitting a dog). If there are kids in the home they need to be over the age of 10.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
